WoW Account Banned, Phising Email ?
I
don't
know
exactly when
I started
playing
WoW
,
back then
level
capped
only
70 (
Burning Crusade
)
some time
after
WotLK
came out
my account
was
frozen
for several
months
since
a lot of
irresponsible
people
who
were messing around
with
another person's account
including
mine
and I
had become a
victim
several
times
that
require me to
keep changing
the password
if
not mistaken
it's
the beginning
of the merger
WoW
account
to
Battle.net
maybe one or few of them was a phising email and it caught me good.
Until
the nightmare
finally
arrived
in
July
2011,
at that time
my account
was
Cataclysm
and
the patch
is
4.2 (
Rage
of the
Fireland
),
when I
was playing
I suddenly
logged out
and
couldn't
log
in again
using
my
email and
password
. I check
my email
right away and
found
there is
a notice
from
Blizz
that
my account
email address
has changed
and email
address that I used
earlier
was
not usable
anymore
.
I reported
this
immediately
to
Blizz
but the result is
not what
I expected
from what
I
've
experienced before,
for
this one
incident
it took
2
days until
my account is
banned.
Before I
post
this article I
check
my
main char
and it was
still
there
so
I suspect
the thief
can't use
my account
as well.
At the bottom
of
the page
"
Last update
07/13/2011
"
same
date
on my email
and o
n
the last 2 "Recent Activity"
,
the thief
redeem
valor points
with
an ilvl 378 plate
bracer that BoE (bind when equipped meaning is that it can be trade or sold at the auction house)
, while
my
own
is still
seen wearing
ilvl
353 bracer and
can't be equipped with
a plate
bracer
, although
I have 2
alt
s
which
could be equipped with plates
they
have enough
points
to
redem
and the plan was
one of them
will redeem
with
a cloth
bracer for
my
main char
while
my main
redeem
with another ilvl 378
gear
besides the bracer that BoP (bind when picked up).
Well
,
eventually
I
stopped
playing
WoW
since then.
